Body Image and Sexual Concerns: Mindfulness and Acceptance Approaches

Body image concerns and body shame can have a significant impact on client’s relationship to themselves, partners, and sexuality. In this course, designed for mental health professionals, we will explore the factors that contribute to body shame including trauma and internalized cultural, societal, and family messages. We will discuss mindfulness, acceptance, and body neutrality interventions to support clients in experiencing deeper self-compassion, embodiment, and sexual satisfaction.

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
