Shakti Giulietta Madrigal-Pingol (Giulietta) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and CAMFT and AASECT Approved CE Provider. She first started her journey in the mental health field in 2006 when she became a certified rape crisis counselor. The experience of supporting sexual trauma survivors became the foundation of her mindfulness, embodiment, empowerment, and trauma-informed approach to therapy.
She later obtained her Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her clinical background includes working in mandated treatment with sex offenders, community mental health, eating disorder outpatient program, and private practice with a specialty in sex and couples therapy.
Giulietta has seen how profound of an impact that sexual healing experiences can have on clients’ sense of self, relationships, and trauma recovery. Her ongoing training and continuing education continues to deeply support her work with clients.
She became an approved CE provider with the hope to provide fellow mental health professionals with relatable, easy to access, high quality research-based courses focused on addressing sexual concerns in therapy. She has a mindfulness and embodiment approach and incorporates these practices into her courses when appropriate. All courses are created to be sex positive, culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming, and trauma-informed.
